Rosternomics is an independent baseball analytics site. It provides models, estimates, and tools — including a hypothetical trade calculator and player-valuation metrics — for informational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing on the site is professional, financial, betting, or investment advice, and all values are model estimates, not statements of fact about any player, team, or transaction.

Some features let you build hypothetical trades, cast votes, or otherwise interact with the site. By using them, you grant Rosternomics a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use the resulting data (for example, the structure of a hypothetical trade and the votes cast) to operate and improve the site and to produce aggregated, anonymized insights, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
The site's original text, design, models, and metrics are owned by Rosternomics. The site incorporates third-party data used under the terms of its sources, including FanGraphs, Baseball-Reference and the Chadwick Bureau register, the Lahman Database, Baseball America (via The Baseball Cube), and public payroll records. Transaction and trade data was obtained free of charge from and is copyrighted by Retrosheet. All trademarks and team marks are the property of their respective owners; Rosternomics is not affiliated with or endorsed by Major League Baseball or any club.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Model outputs may be wrong or out of date, and you use them at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rosternomics and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time, and may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, with the "Last updated" date revised above. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the site's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
